Google are on a mission to update their properties. With the move to GA4 underway, attention has turned to Google Ads which will change interface by December this year. They’ve gone for a simpler design aligned with analytics and looker studio. You’ll be able to stick with old design but only until 2024!

Now you can use generative AI to try clothes on a range of models, allowing you to find the perfect fit. This is an interesting use of AI, and we’re excited to see how much use this feature gets.
A new mobile search results feature
Google began to roll out a new mobile results feature for search called ‘Perspectives’. These results will show a range of short-form videos, images, blogs, tweets from actual people with the aim to showcase different perspectives on topics.
Google Bard can now use your location
Google’s AI tool can now use your location to improve results for your queries or prompts. This will give users more precise local results.
TikTok Shop tests visual search feature
TikTok have been testing a visual search option which will allow users to use an image to search for a product. This might be a feature to look out for if you’re using TikTok as an e-commerce platform.
Threads, a new app from Meta is coming soon
A new app, similar to Twitter in post style and UI, created by Meta is coming on the 6th of July. You’ll be able to use the same username as your Instagram to make the transition easier. Meta will be pushing for this as they watch Twitter burn down.
Twitter limits how many tweets can read
Elon Musk recently introduced limits to how many tweets users can read. Verified accounts can read 6,000 daily, unverified accounts can read 600, and new, unverified accounts can read 300. It’s a strange tactic to stop date mining as it affects engagement- but it suggests Twitter Blue isn’t performing as well as Musk hoped.
